Recently, the 5,200 m² industrial workshop project in Mauritius undertaken by our company has entered a critical foundation construction phase. All anchor bolt embedding works have been finished, and foundation concrete pouring has officially started, marking a key milestone for the project.
Located within an ongoing industrial park in Mauritius, this 5,200-square-metre workshop will deliver standardised manufacturing space upon completion, boost local manufacturing upgrading, improve regional industrial supporting facilities, and deepen China-Mauritius economic and cooperation in infrastructure development. Since the project kick-off, the construction team has completed site clearing, red soil trench excavation, bedding layer construction and reinforcement binding for pile caps. Construction crews embedded all anchor bolts strictly per design drawings, secured reinforcement frameworks with scaffolding, and repeatedly inspected bolt spacing, elevation and verticality to guarantee installation accuracy for subsequent steel columns, laying a solid foundation for superstructure construction.
On site, neatly arranged excavated trenches are fitted with finished pile cap reinforcement frameworks and embedded anchor bolts. Concrete mixer trucks arrive at the construction area in sequence and deliver concrete via chutes, while workers complete pouring and vibration in coordinated teams. Considering the local soft red clay soil, the team optimised trench slope and soil protection schemes to avoid collapse risks. In line with overseas project quality requirements, full-time supervisors monitor reinforcement installation, anchor bolt fixing and concrete placement throughout the process to secure construction safety and structural quality.
Segmented foundation pouring is currently underway. Steel column hoisting will start immediately once pile cap concrete reaches required curing strength. Moving forward, our company will coordinate overseas construction resources, manage schedules, safety control and quality management rigorously to advance superstructure works. We aim to deliver the 5,200 m² workshop on schedule, build a high-quality overseas infrastructure project and strengthen our reputation in global engineering construction.
